One gets the feeling the relationship between Apple and Samsung is growing increasingly strained despite the former’s use of Samsung components for its products.
As many of you are aware, Samsung has been accused by Apple of copying its products with legal battles raging around the globe. The tension, according to one analyst speaking with CNET, may result in Apple using Sharp its supplier for iPad 3 screens.
CNET says that Sharp and its IGZO displays could be going into the iPad 3 when the device launches.
The new display technology would allow the iPad 3 to offer a 2048×1536 screen resolution, making it four times as dense as that of the current iPad 2 while retaining the same physical size.
